We believe that public relations can be a force for positive social change. Thus, in 2007 we opened The Ricochet Group, a subsidiary of Ricochet Public Relations that represents not-for-profits and charitable organizations for no fee whatsoever. Roughly 5% of Ricochet’s revenues are re-invested in pro bono communications initiatives spearheaded by The Ricochet Group.
In 2007, The Ricochet Group helped two US charities: Lifetime Assistance, an organization that gives children with developmental disabilities the tools to achieve the highest possible level of independence and satisfaction; and CURE, a group that works to improve the lives of families coping with childhood cancer or chronic blood disorders by providing emotional, educational and financial assistance. In 2008, The Ricochet Group will sponsor and support a mission to Africa orchestrated by The HighPlace Alliance, an education-focused charity which seeks to unite not-for-profits working with needy children in economically depressed nations.
